For industrial, logistics & warehouse estates
Technical compliance services for operational industrial sites.
Coordinate the defined fire, lifting-equipment, electrical, asbestos and building-services work relevant to factories, logistics hubs and warehouses—planned around shifts, permits, asset access and operational continuity.
The operational problem
The technical scope must work inside a live operation.
Industrial and logistics sites combine moving vehicles, lifting equipment, stored materials, production or fulfilment pressures and controlled plant areas. Access and evidence need to be agreed without confusing property compliance with wider process-safety duties.
01Shift patterns, loading activity and restricted zones narrow safe access windows.
02Property, plant and lifting-equipment records may use different asset identifiers.
03Isolation, permit and escort requirements can prevent attendance if not agreed in advance.
04A serious defect needs a named escalation route and a clear operational decision owner.
Define one operational siteSector regulatory context
The duties and guidance that shape the property programme.
The responsible organisation must identify which requirements apply to each premises. These official sources provide the starting point for scope, competence and evidence decisions.
Fire safety risk assessment: factories and warehouses
Home Office guidance supports Responsible Persons in England assessing factory and warehouse premises and identifying suitable fire precautions for the actual use and risks.
Review official guidanceOfficial sourceHSE: Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998
LOLER places duties on those who own, operate or control lifting equipment, including planning lifting operations and arranging thorough examination where required.
Review official guidanceOfficial sourceElectricity at Work Regulations 1989
Electrical systems used at work must be constructed and maintained so far as is reasonably practicable to prevent danger; the appropriate inspection scope depends on the system and risk.
Review official guidanceOfficial sourceControl of Asbestos Regulations 2012
Those responsible for maintenance or repair of applicable non-domestic premises must manage asbestos risk and provide suitable information before work that may disturb the fabric.
Review official guidanceSources include jurisdiction-specific and Great Britain-wide requirements as labelled. Requirements differ across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Reviewed 3 October 2026. This is not exhaustive legal advice or confirmation of compliance.
What stays visible
Evidence tied to the correct site, system and item of equipment.
- Included buildings, areas, systems and assets identified before mobilisation
- Permit, isolation, escort and operational constraints recorded against the visit
- Reports and findings linked to the client asset reference where supplied
- Thorough examination kept distinct from servicing and operator checks
- Material limitations and uninspected areas visible in the final record
Working in the real world
Coordinate around shifts and site controls—not around assumptions.
The client confirms site rules, induction, permits, asset data and escalation contacts. Each specialist instruction is then planned within those controls and reported against the agreed boundary.
- Select one site, building or asset group for the first instruction
- Confirm induction, traffic management, permit, isolation and escort requirements
- Agree asset identifiers, operating windows and defect-notification routes
- Return discipline-specific reports without implying wider process-safety assurance
Technical scope
Relevant property-safety and building-service workstreams, clearly defined.
We establish the instruction, agree access and reporting requirements, then coordinate only the specialist workstreams expressly included in the scope.
Fire safety
Fire risk, passive protection and life-safety-system scopes defined for the premises, storage arrangement, occupancy and relevant operations.
Explore this service 02LOLER
Competent-person thorough examination for applicable lifting equipment and accessories, with the examination basis and report requirements agreed.
Explore this service 03Electrical / EICR
Fixed-installation inspection and condition reporting for the distribution and areas identified in the instruction.
Explore this service 04Asbestos
Management information and the appropriate survey route before maintenance, alteration or intrusive work affecting the building fabric.
Explore this service 05HVAC maintenance
Asset-led maintenance for general building ventilation, comfort systems, heating distribution and controls within the agreed operational boundary.
Explore this service 06Pumps, drainage & water
Defined inspection or maintenance support for drainage, wastewater, sump, storm and booster assets serving the premises.
Explore this serviceThis page covers the listed property and equipment workstreams only. It does not represent process-safety, DSEAR, pressure-systems, machinery-guarding or workplace-transport assurance. LOLER thorough examination does not replace maintenance, operator checks or other duties such as PUWER.
Controlled mobilisation
Prove the delivery model on a defined scope.
Begin with one site, one discipline or a selected property cohort. Scope, access, responsibilities and reporting are agreed before any wider programme is considered.
Define the first scope- 01Review
Map requirements, dates, records and priority gaps.
- 02Mobilise
Set scope, access, responsibilities and service dates.
- 03Coordinate
Manage the agreed workstreams and control the resulting evidence.
- 04Report
Confirm report status, findings and the agreed next actions.
Questions
Clear boundaries. Practical answers.
Compliance Plus supports the management, delivery and evidence around property-safety duties. It does not transfer the legal responsibilities held by relevant dutyholders.
Can you work around a 24-hour operation?
The client should identify shutdown opportunities, restricted zones and safe access windows. Feasibility then depends on the service, site controls and specialist availability; uninterrupted access is never assumed.
Does a LOLER examination include servicing the equipment?
No. Thorough examination and servicing are different activities. The examination must remain sufficiently independent and is reported separately from maintenance and routine checks.
Can the first instruction cover only one asset group?
Yes. A defined group of lifting assets, one electrical distribution area, one fire-safety scope or a selected pump system can be used to establish the access and reporting model.
Will the report certify the whole site as compliant?
No. Each output relates only to its stated instruction, inspected areas, evidence and limitations. Wider legal and operational assurance remains with the relevant dutyholders and site governance.
Complimentary scope and evidence review
Turn the immediate requirement into a defined first instruction.
Begin with one site, system, service or a small redacted schedule. We will identify obvious evidence gaps, time-critical items and matters requiring specialist review.
- A defined initial scope
- A concise priority summary
- A recommended procurement route
Desk-based review only—not a site inspection, risk assessment, certification, statutory report or legal opinion.
